With more than 20 years teaching experience since graduating from the Birmingham Conservatoire, I provide individually tailored tuition for Piano, Flute and Oboe from my home in Basingstoke.  My pupils range from aged 5 years to over 80 years and their interests vary from classical to popular music. Some are learning purely for enjoyment whilst many are studying for exams.  

There have been over 650 exam successes over the years with over 70% achieving merit or distinction.

My own interests include orchestral playing with the highly regarded Surrey Mozart Players, and the Pelly Concert Orchestra, ensemble playing with several wind groups, and being a member of a choir. I am also the secretary of the piano section of the local music festival. 

Although I teach at all levels, I am especially keen to help beginners and to share with them the fun and enjoyment which learning an instrument brings.

Since the start of the pandemic, all lessons have been taught successfully online using various platforms.
